Easy Rider: Improving motorcycle safety on London’s roads [1]


Precis

Published by the GLA Transport Committee in 2016, the report covers motorcycle road safety in the capital.#

The report recommends that TfL sets aside a dedicated budget to focus on :

  • a better understanding of why motorcyclist casualties occur.
  • a more proactive strategy from TfL to help ensure a common approach to bus lane access across the city.
  • continuing education
  • increasing participation in Bikesafe by young riders
  • embedded good road design taking into account the needs of all vulnerable road users.
