Membership chasing

Below are suggestions for membership chasing emails, make sure you replace the Xs'. You can also include details such as events happening soon. Modify them as you wish, develop your own chasing process and feel free to provide useful feedback via your Regional Rep or the Membership Co-ordinator.

IMPORTANT:

Do let the office know of any ex-member who specifies that they do NOT wish to be contacted again by MAG, any emails where you receive a bounce and anyone who has passed away. Simply send a brief message with the membership number of the individual to central-office@mag-uk.org

Membership lists will always be slightly out of date, so unless you know an individual as a rule of thumb chase those that which have expired for over a month.

Long time expired

Hello,

I see from my membership listings that you have previously been a member of MAG however your membership has expired.

MAG is in a very strong position and making headway with politicians, Government departments and working groups. We have never been taken so serious as we are today. MAG does not receive any outside funding to fight for riders rights, our income is generated from membership, events and donations.

Should you wish to return you can do so by renewing your membership in one of the following ways;

by phone 01926 844064

online www.mag-uk.org

or by visiting a local meeting or MAG stand at a show.

Your closest meeting is XXXXX on XXXXX

MAG meetings are open to all so why not pop along for a chat.

I welcome any feedback that will assist me in understanding why members decide not to renew.

More recent 2 - 6 months

Hello,

You may be wondering why you've not seen a copy of The ROAD recently: I see from my membership list that your MAG membership expired XXXXXX. We often find a little reminder email serves the purpose of that forgotten renewal letter.

MAG is in a very strong position and making headway with politicians, Government departments and working groups. We have never been taken so serious as we are today. MAG does not receive any outside funding to fight for riders rights, our income is generated from membership, events and donations

We hope you will continue to support us in our work by renewing your membership. You can do so by;

picking up the phone 01926 844064 and talking to Carol or Julie,

going online www.mag-uk.org

or visiting a local meeting or MAG stand at a show.

Did you know that if you renew by Direct Debit it is cheaper for you? I can send a form by email or post if you would like to pay this way (it also means less hassle at your next renewal).

Please accept my apologies if you have recently renewed.

I welcome any feedback that will assist me in understanding why members decide not to renew.
